Our Approach

ETF’s focus is on economic strengthening of marginalized/vulnerable women especially the care givers of orphans, aged and people living with HIV/AIDS and households led by orphans. This is done through life skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development programmes that lead to self sufficiency. Education is promoted through school enrolment of out of school youth, adult literacy, employability and development programmes. ETF also promotes quality healthcare services with emphasis on reproductive health awareness, HIV/AIDS/STD’s and Malaria Prevention, Stigma reduction of People living with HIV/AIDs and Nutrition Counseling. Through building awareness ETF helps strengthen the delivery of these key health services. 

Ultimately ETF’s endeavor is to fight against the fundamental causes and subsequent effects of poverty, by building secure, resilient and dignified women, youth and children within communities that have the vulnerable and marginalized target groups.  

ETF’s proposed steps to better service provision includes

1: Needs Assessment:  This involves an assessment of organization’s needs and the identification of the existing gaps that could mar the overall success of any organization.

2: Dialogue and Planning:  Through constructive dialogue the identified gaps are analyzed with all stakeholders in attendance towards planned remedial action with three things in mind

  1. Creating a shared understanding of what the organization’s vision is.
  2. Getting employees to see the larger picture and live the culture of their organization in and outside the work environment.
  3. Deepening the spirit of leadership, responsibility, accountability, team work, sacrifice and commitment
3: Action:  This is the stage of implementing the action plan proposed at the dialogue and planning stage such as training and retraining of responsible employees that will perform the identified task and duties that will help bridge the identified gaps.A
